PMI lists PgMP initial exam fees of US$800 for members and US$1,000 at full price on its PgMP certification page. PMI's PgMP certification handbook lists reexamination fees of US$600 for members and US$800 for nonmembers.
Member-path total = membership dues + US$800 + (US$600 × retakes) + optional tuition. Nonmember-path total = US$1,000 + (US$800 × retakes) + optional tuition. Member-path savings = nonmember-path total − member-path total.

Yes. PMI permits up to three PgMP exam attempts during the one-year eligibility period, so this calculator lets you include zero, one or two paid retakes after the initial exam attempt. The retake setting is a contingency choice, not a prediction that you will need another attempt.
PMI states that the PgMP exam fee is required after your application has been accepted and you are ready to schedule the exam. The calculator therefore treats the exam fee as a certification cost, while keeping optional membership and provider tuition as separate inputs.
Membership is lower-cost when the dues you enter are less than US$200 multiplied by one plus your planned retakes. The comparison includes the lower member exam and reexamination fees, but it does not assign a value to other membership benefits or estimate regional pricing.
Enter tuition only if you have chosen a course, mentoring programme or other paid preparation. Add the quoted amount once because the calculator applies it equally to both membership paths, allowing the membership decision to remain separate from the training-provider decision.
