The credential authority and the preparation support are different purchases
As of September 2026, PMI is the authority that sets PgMP requirements and administers the credential. PMI requires candidates to pass a panel review and an examination, with published eligibility routes based on education and 36, 48 or 84 months of relevant experience within the preceding 15 years. PMI’s PgMP certification page is therefore the starting point before any course decision.
A provider can help a candidate understand the process and prepare. A provider cannot replace PMI’s decision-making role. The PgMP application eligibility check is the useful next read if the experience requirement is still unclear.

PMI’s handbook also states that no one else should write a candidate’s experience-summary responses. Application feedback before a panel sees the evidence can help a candidate improve clarity and completeness, while the candidate remains responsible for the account and submission.
The certification path has five PMI-controlled gates
The process is not a course-completion sequence. A course can run alongside preparation, but PMI controls the eligibility standard, review gate, examination and maintenance requirement. PMI describes the examination as 170 multiple-choice questions with 240 minutes allotted, and its handbook says the panel-review and examination process takes approximately 60 days. When PMI’s route wins outright
Choose PMI’s official resources without adding a course when you already have a self-directed study routine, want the official standards first, and do not need live feedback or a practice structure. PMI specifically recommends studying its standards for PgMP preparation and lists instructor-led courses through Authorized Training Partners. Keep tuition and credential fees separate
Augment’s current sale prices are $950 for the live PgMP Fast Track and $549 for the self-paced programme. PMI’s exam fee is $800 for members and $1,000 for nonmembers. Those figures are not substitutes: one pays for optional preparation, while the other pays for PMI’s credential process. PMI also says it does not endorse a particular review course or resource as a guaranteed way to pass. That makes the practical decision straightforward: start with PMI’s rules, then choose the amount of structure and feedback that suits your preparation.
