Preparation does not replace PMI’s credential process
PMI defines PgMP as a credential for managing multiple projects in a coordinated way and aligning them with strategic objectives. PMI defines PfMP around managing portfolios of projects, programmes and operations in line with organisational strategy. PMI’s 2026 PgMP and PfMP certification pages confirm that PMI, not a preparation provider, sets eligibility, reviews applications and administers the examinations.
Both credentials have examinations of 170 questions in 240 minutes. PMI’s current PgMP routes require 36 to 84 months of programme-management experience depending on education, and PfMP routes require 36 to 84 months of portfolio-management experience plus 96 months of business experience. Use PMI versus a preparation course when deciding what support you need after checking eligibility.
Our courses are useful when you want structured learning, practice and application support. They are not the right route when you need PMI to determine eligibility or award a credential.
An MBA search requires a different destination
The Augment MBA belongs to Augment.org and is a separate online business-education certificate programme. We provide PgMP, PfMP, programme-management and portfolio-management learning.
